The Silent Core — Print & Oil Painting

This one abandons the character entirely and goes after the iconography. At the centre is the mask, but dismantled and rebuilt as something closer to a skull: plated brow, one brass lens still glowing amber, a mandible splitting open into red. Around it the artist has grown an entire nervous system of thin curved lines — whale bone, antennae, wireframe arcs — arranged in perfect bilateral symmetry.

The symmetry is what makes it work as a piece of wall art rather than as fan art. Fold the canvas down the middle and both halves match, which gives the composition the formality of a coat of arms or a Rorschach plate. Fine white filigree spreads to the left and right like the wings of a moth pinned in a case, and at the base a knot of gold light burns upward into the dark green.

The colour is unusual for the universe: not Dunwall's wet grey but a deep bottle green, textured and mottled as if the whole image had been printed onto old copper. Only two things break it — the amber eye and the flare underneath — and both sit exactly on the centre line.
