About this artwork

Tonally, The Blue Book 1914 reads as luminous across the canvas, with sharp separation between highlights and shadow. The surface is governed by red and orange. Saturation stays in a natural, believable range. Its brightness opens up a small room and makes a dark corridor feel less closed.
