About this artwork

Trimming the Tree is a piece that keeps an unforced natural light, with strong light-against-dark modelling — green and red run through nearly every passage. Colour is the first thing the eye registers here. This middle register suits open-plan rooms where the light changes through the day.

Available as a print or as an original oil painting. Prints are made with pigment inks on synthetic canvas. Paintings are hand-executed in oil on cotton canvas — each one differs slightly from the last, which is the nature of the medium. Each finished work is documented in photographs and on video, and sent to you for approval first.

Vertical, at 1:1.33, it fills the kind of wall that horizontal work leaves looking empty. 10 sizes are available, the figure always describing the shorter side of the canvas: from 30 x 40 cm up to 150 x 200 cm. Rolled delivery is possible at all sizes. If you want it stretched or framed, 100 cm is the limit, set by carrier volume rules rather than by us.
