About this artwork

In A Daughter Of Newlyn 1936, the composition is almost entirely luminous, with clear but unforced separation of light and dark. orange and red carry most of the surface. The colour is restrained, closer to a muted study than a bright poster. Keep it away from direct sun; very light work shows fading soonest.
