Julia 1914 balances light and shadow evenly, in a balanced tonal range — red and orange set its overall key. Colour is the first thing the eye registers here. Neutral in tone, it sits comfortably alongside other artwork rather than competing.

This one comes from our John William Godward collection — 248 works sharing a single world. It pairs naturally with Ismenia 1908 and Lesbia With Her Sparrow if you want more than one piece.

Two finishes of a different order: a pigment-ink print on synthetic canvas that reproduces the surface faithfully, or a hand-painted oil on cotton canvas that reinterprets it. The second is unique; the first is exact. A photo and video record of the completed piece reaches you ahead of the parcel.

The artwork is portrait-oriented, in a 1:1.33 ratio — it draws the eye upward and suits a narrower wall. 10 sizes are available, the figure always describing the shorter side of the canvas: from 30 x 40 cm up to 150 x 200 cm. Rolled canvas ships at every size; stretched and framed finishes are offered up to 100 cm, beyond which the parcel exceeds what carriers accept.
