About this artwork

Ishtar sits comfortably between light and dark, with measured contrast. Its dominant tones run through red and orange. The hues are full without tipping into excess. This middle register suits open-plan rooms where the light changes through the day.

The image is offered as a fine art print on synthetic canvas, made with pigment inks, and as a hand-painted oil on cotton canvas produced to order by one of our senior artists. Before anything is dispatched you receive photographs and a video of the finished work.

This tall 1:2 format needs vertical room; it will look cramped on a standard wall. There are 10 sizes, and in each one the number refers to the shorter side: 30 x 60 cm at the smallest, 150 x 299 cm at the largest. Rolled canvas ships at every size; stretched and framed finishes are offered up to 80 cm, beyond which the parcel exceeds what carriers accept.
