About this artwork

What defines L Insidia - The Pitfall is how it balances light and shadow evenly, in a balanced tonal range, letting orange and red shape the whole image. Saturation runs high, giving the piece real presence on a wall. It works in most lighting conditions, which makes it a safe choice when you are unsure.

Part of our Roberto Ferri collection, a group of 107 works built around one universe. Collectors of this universe often hang it alongside Santa Rosalia - Saint Rosalia and The Birth Of The Eclipse.

Two finishes of a different order: a pigment-ink print on synthetic canvas that reproduces the surface faithfully, or a hand-painted oil on cotton canvas that reinterprets it. The second is unique; the first is exact. We photograph and film every finished piece and send it to you before shipping.

The artwork is landscape-oriented, at 1:1.19 — it settles naturally above a sofa, a bed or a sideboard. Sizes run from 36 x 30 cm to 178 x 150 cm — 10 in all, each named after its shorter side. Every size can be sent rolled. Stretching and framing are available to 100 cm — past that the volumetric weight goes beyond what any carrier will take.
