About this artwork

The palette of Batman portrait 87 is built almost entirely out of darkness, with edges that stay quiet. Expect magenta and violet to dominate the surface. The palette is bold and immediately readable from a distance. Hang it where daylight reaches; the shadow passages need illumination to give up their detail.

It belongs to our DC Universe collection, which gathers 89 works around the same universe. It pairs naturally with Batman with Catwoman 7 and Batman with Joker 1 if you want more than one piece.

Choose between a fine art print and a hand-painted oil. The print uses pigment inks on synthetic canvas; the painting is executed in oil on cotton canvas by a senior artist and takes several weeks. Each finished work is documented in photographs and on video, and sent to you for approval first.

Portrait at 1:1.44: taller than it is wide, and better suited to a chimney breast than a long wall. There are 10 sizes, and in each one the number refers to the shorter side: 30 x 43 cm at the smallest, 150 x 216 cm at the largest. Rolled delivery is possible at all sizes. If you want it stretched or framed, 100 cm is the limit, set by carrier volume rules rather than by us.

The entry price is $110 for the smallest print. Tracked express delivery is included wherever you are, and you have 15 days to change your mind.
