About this artwork

Sailing is flooded with light, cut by hard tonal edges. Its dominant tones run through orange and red. Colour serves the drawing here rather than competing with it. In a white room it reads as texture more than as image, which is a quality worth using deliberately.

You can have this either as a print or as an oil painting. The print is pigment ink on synthetic canvas and keeps the surface texture of the source work. The painting is made by hand, in oil on cotton canvas, by an artist who paints it from scratch. You approve the finished work from photographs and a video before we pack it.

Landscape at 1:1.17, it suits the horizontal run of wall most living rooms already have. There are 10 sizes, and in each one the number refers to the shorter side: 35 x 30 cm at the smallest, 176 x 150 cm at the largest. Rolled canvas ships at every size; stretched and framed finishes are offered up to 100 cm, beyond which the parcel exceeds what carriers accept.

The entry price is $98 for the smallest print. Tracked express delivery is included wherever you are, and you have 15 days to change your mind.
