About this artwork

Musicians New Orleans 2 is a piece that distributes light without favouring either extreme, holding a moderate tonal spread — sky blue and red run through nearly every passage. The colour is present without shouting. It is forgiving about wall colour, which is not true of every piece in the catalogue.

Printed or painted, the choice is yours. Pigment inks on synthetic canvas for the print. Oil on cotton canvas, applied by hand over several weeks, for the painting. Before anything is dispatched you receive photographs and a video of the finished work.

The 1:1.31 landscape format is the easiest to place in a room with standard ceiling height. There are 10 sizes, and in each one the number refers to the shorter side: 39 x 30 cm at the smallest, 197 x 150 cm at the largest. Rolled canvas ships at every size; stretched and framed finishes are offered up to 100 cm, beyond which the parcel exceeds what carriers accept.

Expect $104 for the smallest print. Express tracked delivery is on us, anywhere in the world, and you are covered for 15 days.
