About this artwork

The palette of The Sea Ballad is lit from within, with readable but never harsh modelling. Expect sky blue and orange to dominate the surface. Chroma sits at a comfortable, lifelike level. Against a dark wall the effect reverses and it becomes a window.

The piece sits in our Eric Le Pape collection, a set of 40 works on the same theme. It hangs comfortably beside Hotel Du Port and The Port of Koisic.

You can have this either as a print or as an oil painting. The print is pigment ink on synthetic canvas and keeps the surface texture of the source work. The painting is made by hand, in oil on cotton canvas, by an artist who paints it from scratch. You approve the finished work from photographs and a video before we pack it.

This 1:1.57 landscape shape sits comfortably over a headboard or a long piece of furniture. Pick from 10 sizes between 47 x 30 cm and 235 x 150 cm. The size you choose is always the shorter edge. Rolled canvas ships at every size; stretched and framed finishes are offered up to 90 cm, beyond which the parcel exceeds what carriers accept.

The entry price is $115 for the smallest print. Tracked express delivery is included wherever you are, and you have 15 days to change your mind.
