About this artwork

What defines The Yellow Quay is how it keeps an unforced natural light, holding a moderate tonal spread, letting sky blue and cyan shape the whole image. The hues are intense and unapologetic. Neutral in tone, it sits comfortably alongside other artwork rather than competing.

It is catalogued under our Eric Le Pape collection, which now runs to 40 pieces. It hangs comfortably beside The Gulf Path and The Roofs of Calvi.

You can have this either as a print or as an oil painting. The print is pigment ink on synthetic canvas and keeps the surface texture of the source work. The painting is made by hand, in oil on cotton canvas, by an artist who paints it from scratch. Each finished work is documented in photographs and on video, and sent to you for approval first.

Wider than it is tall, at 1:1, it fills a wall the way a window does. There are 10 sizes, and in each one the number refers to the shorter side: 30 x 30 cm at the smallest, 151 x 150 cm at the largest. Rolled canvas ships at every size; stretched and framed finishes are offered up to 100 cm, beyond which the parcel exceeds what carriers accept.
