Nine tenths of this canvas is weather. Long ribbons of cream, lilac, powder blue and rose have been swept across it in one continuous rotation, each stroke thick enough to keep its own edge, so the surface behaves like water photographed at a very slow shutter speed.

The figure has to be found. In the upper left, inside the pale part of the spiral, a young woman lies curled with her eyes closed: short auburn hair, one bare shoulder, a yellow drape gathered at the chest, and below her a deep blue mass that resolves into a skirt caught in the current. She occupies perhaps a twelfth of the picture.

Nothing in the image identifies her beyond the title. There is no crown, no dragon and no insignia of Tycoon, so the reading of her as Lenna Charlotte Tycoon rests entirely on what the piece is called. Taken on its own it is a sleeping figure inside a wave.

What the treatment does supply is mood. The palette is high-key throughout, with no true dark anywhere and the lowest value saved for the blue at the centre, and the effect lands closer to a lullaby than to an adventure. It is the calmest thing in our Final Fantasy collection by a wide margin, and its natural neighbour is the night bridge with Vivi, which is the same quiet at a different hour.
