About this artwork

Hobbits navigate through Argonath 5 holds a mid-toned, even light, in a balanced tonal range. Its dominant tones run through red and orange. The hues are full without tipping into excess. This middle register suits open-plan rooms where the light changes through the day.

The piece sits in our Lord of the Rings collection, a set of 470 works on the same theme. If you are building a wall around that theme, it sits well next to The Witch King on fellbeast flying in a beauttiful green sky and The Fellowship of the Ring crossing a bridge in Rivendell.

Printed or painted, the choice is yours. Pigment inks on synthetic canvas for the print. Oil on cotton canvas, applied by hand over several weeks, for the painting. A photo and video record of the completed piece reaches you ahead of the parcel.

The 1:1.4 landscape format is the easiest to place in a room with standard ceiling height. 10 formats, from 42 x 30 cm to 210 x 150 cm. Our size numbers always describe the shorter side, whatever the orientation. Every size can be sent rolled.
