About this artwork

Gandalf The Grey at the Shire 2 distributes light without favouring either extreme, with values that collide rather than blend. Its dominant tones run through amber and yellow-green. Saturation stays in a natural, believable range. Its even key makes it one of the easier pieces to place — it neither fights the wall nor disappears into it.
