About this artwork
Look at Nazgul looking for the Hobbits at the Shire and the first thing you notice is that it reads in a calm middle register, cut by hard tonal edges. amber and sky blue do most of the work. Colours are held back, giving the piece a subdued, painterly calm. It holds up in daylight and under lamps equally well.
