About this artwork

The palette of Wise Monkey Mute portrait holds a mid-toned, even light, with strong light-against-dark modelling. Expect red and cyan to dominate the surface. The hues are full without tipping into excess. It holds up in daylight and under lamps equally well.

This piece exists in two forms. Printed, it is pigment ink on synthetic canvas — accurate, stable, and faithful to the original texture. Painted, it is oil on cotton canvas, worked by hand, and unique by definition. You approve the finished work from photographs and a video before we pack it.

A square format, which is the most flexible shape we offer: it fits where neither portrait nor landscape quite does. 10 formats, from 30 x 30 cm to 150 x 150 cm. Our size numbers always describe the shorter side, whatever the orientation. Rolled delivery is possible at all sizes. If you want it stretched or framed, 100 cm is the limit, set by carrier volume rules rather than by us.
