Ahsoka Tano Crosses Twin Sabers in a Misty Forest — Print & Oil Painting

The blades cross in front of her body and the intersection lands almost exactly at the centre of a tall, narrow canvas. Every other value in the picture has been kept below that one point.

She is walking toward us and the arms are already out, held wide and low so the tips reach well past her knees on both sides. The stride is unhurried. Neither elbow is bent for a strike.

The wood behind her is fog and vertical trunks with no branches on them. Warm gold light comes in from the left and burns out the trees on that side to pale silhouettes; the right stays cool grey-green; the ground disappears into mist a few paces behind her boots.

The figure is rendered as though photographed rather than drawn. Heavy grey-brown robes over a fitted tunic, long gloves to the elbow, a ring buckle at the waist with cord hanging from it, boots wrapped and strapped to the shin, and a face given real skin rather than flat colour.

The blades are white, and nothing else in the story is. She took the crystals from an Inquisitor who had bled them red and cleaned them until they held no colour at all, which is why her weapons announce that she stands on neither side. From our Star Wars collection, beside the same sabers raised instead of crossed in the same weather and a single blade brought up on guard.
