Boba Fett Soars Through the Spires of Cloud City — Print & Oil Painting

Everything here is tilted. Boba Fett crosses the canvas on a diagonal, knees drawn up, torso rotated open toward us, the jetpack firing a short orange plume beneath his boots. The right arm is up and out, its pistol already discharging a bolt that runs off the top edge; the left hand keeps a second weapon low against the hip.

The armour is given plate by plate: a dull green helmet with the T-visor and the rangefinder folded above the right temple, a green chest piece over a pale flight suit, ochre-yellow knee guards, scuffed boots, a wide belt of pouches, and a frayed cape pulled sideways by his own motion. A braid of cord hangs from the right shoulder.

The city behind him is a forest of tall pointed spires, painted in receding bands of brown and rust as the haze thickens with distance. On the face of the nearest tower the artist has ruled a long column of alien script, the one place in the picture where a vertical is allowed to stand still.

Colour splits the canvas top to bottom: the upper half burns orange where the atmosphere catches the light, the lower half cools into teal shadow, and red blaster bolts stitch across both as long thin diagonals. He is flying through a firefight in which no opponent is shown. The only evidence of the other side is the geometry of the bolts.
