A cold, quiet, upright portrait with almost no action in it at all. She stands square to us, cut off at the waist, and the whole picture is about what she is wearing and what is standing behind her.

The kit is cold-weather flight gear and it has been painted piece by piece: a quilted orange vest over a cream padded undersuit, a deep hood lined with pale fleece that rings the face completely, a strapped chest box, bulky wrapped mitts, and a pair of goggles hanging at the collar rather than on the brow. A heavy blaster carbine is held diagonally across the body in both hands, muzzle down.

Her face is the small bright centre of all that padding: dark hair blown across the forehead, lips parted, eyes turned slightly up and to the side at something above the frame. The expression is alert rather than afraid.

Over her right shoulder, close and only half in the picture, hangs the head and upper body of a droid: a long tapering skull, a narrow chin, grey weathered plating, and two small blue lights burning on the arm below it. It is angled down toward her. The artist has kept it soft and unlit while keeping her sharp, so it reads as an attendant rather than a threat.
