Rendered to a high polish. Every plate carries a mirrored highlight, the metal reflects the fire around it in warm gold and cold grey at the same time, and there is no visible brush anywhere on the surface. It is the finish of key art rather than of a canvas.

He is down in a deep crouch, one knee low and the other leg folded beneath him, weight thrown forward. The left arm is thrust out and down toward us and the vambrace on it is presented flat to the picture plane, a bank of small bright tubes packed into its face. The right hand is closed near the hip. This is the half second after a launch rather than before one.

The kit is itemised with real care: banded charges strapped around the thigh and the shin, a bandolier crossing the chest, a heavy buckle at the waist, greaves scuffed along every leading edge. The cape lifts behind him and tears into a ragged point against the fire, and the helmet takes a hot orange rim across the crown and the cheek while the visor stays dark.

Grogu is easy to miss, which is deliberate. Only the head and one hand clear the left shoulder, ears laid back, eyes wide, looking out past the armour rather than at it. Behind them both a fireball fills the upper half of the frame, gold at the core and orange at the edges, rolling into grey smoke at the right, with charred ground and drifting ash below.

Those tubes are not decoration. The launcher in that vambrace throws a dozen small guided charges in one burst, forged for him out of spare beskar by the Armorer of his covert, and it is a weapon he can spend only once in a fight.
