Two bodies falling, one behind the other, and the picture is organised entirely around the gap between them. He is upper right, arms out and legs kicked up behind, cap and cape streaming. She is lower left, smaller, dropping in a straight line with her cape spread flat. Nothing else in the frame is doing anything at all.

His gear is drawn hard. The shield on his back is rendered in full, red bird and gold triangle and all, with brown gauntlets, blue undershirt at the elbows, boots with pale cuffs. The line is heavy and confident, closer to comics than to illustration, and the colour is laid on flat inside it.

The second figure is deliberately less resolved: a pale lavender-white form with a pointed head, a wide skirted cape and dark violet legs, painted in fewer and softer strokes so that she reads as something less solid than he is.

The cloud is stacked in bright horizontal banks with two thin white streaks cutting across the upper right, and through the gaps at the bottom a wide green country shows with a yellow road winding across it.
