Galactus Spreads His Arms Amid a Misty Storm — Print & Oil Painting

The colour here breaks with the rest of the group. Instead of violet the canvas is built from teal, cyan and slate, with magenta used only as banding on the armour, and the measurement returns cyan as the leading hue with blue behind it at moderate brightness. It is the coolest Galactus in the lot.

He stands facing us with both arms stretched out level and wide, the palms open and turned slightly forward, the head tipped back so the chin lifts and the helmet prongs rise with it. The viewpoint sits below his waist and tilts upward. Nothing whatever is held in either hand.

The armour is plated in pale teal with rose and magenta banding at the shoulders, the forearms and the hips, and three cyan discs burn through it: one at the collar, two set into the belt. Below the waist he is swallowed by mist, so the legs fade out around the knee and there is no telling what he is standing on.

Across the bottom third the ground has already burned. Black scorched stumps and broken rubble run in a dark band from edge to edge, ash flecks lift into the lower air, and pale storm light pours down behind him through torn cloud in two broad diagonal shafts.

Empty hands are the accurate detail. The extraction is not done by hand at all: he assembles a converter for the job, machinery that pulls a world apart into usable energy far more efficiently than he manages himself, and it is set up on site rather than carried in.
