Ahsoka Tano Rests Twin Green Sabers on Her Shoulder — Print & Oil Painting

Her two hands are doing opposite jobs. The upper one holds a hilt braced back against her shoulder with the blade climbing out through the top right corner; the lower one carries its hilt turned back through the fist at hip height, emitter up, so the second blade crosses the picture and leaves it at the left. One weapon is resting. The other is not.

Both blades are the same acid green and they are the only saturated colour in the frame. The glow reaches the underside of her chin, the tops of the forearm wraps and the front edge of the belt, and stops there.

She is dressed in burgundy: a sleeveless tunic cut high at the neck, a matching panel falling over grey leggings, brown leather straps crossing the hips with a plain six-sided buckle at the front, tan gloves and wrapped guards on both forearms. The headdress falls behind the shoulders in wide grey-blue and white bands.

The finish is glossy and airbrushed throughout, with every highlight polished and no visible brushwork anywhere. The background has been left as mottled dark green with a scatter of pale flecks and no object in it at all, so nothing competes with the figure.

She looks straight out at us with the chin slightly raised and something close to amusement in the mouth. Green was the colour she carried right through the war as Anakin Skywalker's apprentice, and a blade in each hand was her habit from very early on. From our Star Wars collection, next to the same pair swung rather than held and the captain who fought beside her through those years.
