Darth Vader in Neon Blue Before the Death Star — Print & Oil Painting

The one piece of pure graphic design in this group. It is drawn as flat vector shapes with hard edges and no rendering at all: no gradients on the plating, no soft shadow, nothing modelled. Every form is a cut shape laid over another cut shape.

The palette is a strict three. A deep navy ground, an electric cyan for every highlight, and a hot magenta for every counter-light. The mask is built almost entirely from those two accent colours running down opposite sides of each panel, which is enough to describe the whole helmet without a single halftone.

Behind the head sits a large magenta disc: the station, drawn as a flat circle with its panel lines ruled across it and the round dish set into the upper left. It functions as a halo, and placing it directly behind the helmet is the oldest portrait trick there is.

The chest is reduced to essentials, a linked chain across the collar and a few plate edges, and the shoulders run off the bottom of the frame. White stars are scattered thinly over the navy at both sides.

Across the lower quarter the name is set in two weights: heavy block capitals with a cyan drop face, and beneath them a magenta script italic. It is a poster rather than a portrait, and it is the only image here that treats this character as a logo.
